Concept Plus Grant

Who it is for

You can apply as a sole trader, a partnership or a limited company if you:

• are resident or your company is registered in Northern Ireland
• have an innovative or novel idea to prove
• are the founder or (for limited companies) a director and majority shareholder

To be eligible, your project should balance product or technology development with early market testing and show potential for commercial use. Applications from Community Interest Companies and social enterprises will not be considered.

Support you can get

Grants of up to £30,000 can cover eligible costs such as:

• concept or prototype development
• market research and validation
• market testing
• software subscriptions, AI and productivity tools, and development platforms
• assessment of the uniqueness of intellectual property
• own costs, where a clear output will be delivered

How to apply

Apply online through the Techstart application portal. All eligible applicants will be invited to a remote pitch session with Techstart Ventures before final decisions are made.
