Brexit: EU Settlement Scheme workshops for employers

19 September 2019

Events to provide information and guidance for businesses, EU citizens and community and voluntary groups on the EU Settlement Scheme

The UK Government has developed the EU Settlement Scheme for EU citizens living in the UK to apply for settled status for themselves and their family. Getting settled status means you can continue to live and work in the UK for as long as you like. You will not need to apply if you’re an Irish citizen or have indefinite leave to remain, but your family members from outside the UK and Ireland will.

These briefings, led by the Home Office, will provide you with an overview of the EU Settlement Scheme, including an update on the additional support available for more vulnerable or at-risk EU citizens and their family members.

During the sessions, there will be an opportunity to look at local needs concerning the EU Settlement Scheme, and to discuss what actions are required to address these issues together. Attendees will also be presented with the communications tools and resources the Home Office has developed for employers and for local and voluntary sector organisations to help them inform EU citizens.
