Business Growth Programme: Newry, Mourne & Down

Businesses in the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area can apply to the Business Growth Programme for free mentoring support that will help them become more competitive

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is in receipt of grant support from Invest Northern Ireland to deliver the new Newry, Mourne & Down (NMD) Business Growth Programme. The project which is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme 2014-2020, will provide specialist business support to micro and small enterprises within the council area.

NMD Business Growth Programme will provide free mentoring support to local companies, supporting them to become more competitive in both indigenous and export markets. The programme will support at least 758 businesses up to December 2022, and create approximately 470 new employment positions.

  • Up to six days FREE mentoring support, that is bespoke to your business requirements

  • Linkages with other business support initiatives

Eligibility criteria

  • Businesses must be based in the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area
  • Employ less than 50 people
  • Have the potential to create additional jobs
  • Have export, innovation or productivity improvement potential
