Funding for emerging medical device solutions

Galway-based Centre for Research in Medical Devices (CÚRAM) is inviting Northern Ireland businesses to apply for their competitive Co-fund Programme for Medical Device development.

The call aims to support start-ups, small and medium-sized businesses and multinational corporations working in the medical device technology field to develop new industry solutions in these challenging times.

CÚRAM aims to improve and enhance traditional medical devices and develop the next generation of biomedical implants, cell device and drug-device combination products to address unmet clinical needs.

A total fund of €15 million is available to accelerate development of innovative technologies. There is no deadline for applications. The competition will be ongoing while funding lasts.

Northern Ireland applicants are welcome to apply with proposals for device-based solutions to address clinical needs. Applicants should note that research activity must take place in the Republic of Ireland.
