Consortium development and collaborative bidding workshop

8 November 2019

Have you considered how collaboration would benefit your business?

Collaboration – the formation of joint ventures and consortia - is increasingly common as an approach to winning bids. It can add great benefits to SMEs targeting new business in public procurement and in private sector supply chains by:

  • opening up new sub-sectors of the public procurement market
  • helping to meet minimum / mandatory criteria
  • adding new / specialist skills and capabilities
  • creating scale – through combined capacity

This Belfast City Council workshop examines both the opportunities and challenges of forming successful consortia. It also considers all of the strategy and process issues involved – legal, business, procurement and compliance processes.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from a facilitator who has extensive experience of working on consortia and collaborative bids and gain best practice guidance.

Who Should Attend?

The workshop is designed for SMEs that are bidding or are considering bidding for contracts, in conjunction with collaborative partners.
