Views sought on the Department for the Economy's proposals to transform in NI's skills system to help deliver a ten times better economy

The Department for the Economy (DfE) has launched a consultation paper for a new Skills Strategy for Northern Ireland: ‘Skills for a 10x Economy’.

The consultation document has been developed following an extensive period of engagement with stakeholders from across Northern Ireland.

It sets out proposals which will set the strategic direction for the development of a flexible skills system for the next decade, in line with the DfE’s economic vision. It outlines key themes and proposed commitments, with an overarching focus on creating a skills framework which can drive economic prosperity and tackle social inequality. DfE is keen to have your views on how to meet the challenge of building a world class skills system.

DfE will also be hosting remote engagement events during the consultation period, with details to follow.

The consultation will remain open until 17:00 on 19 August 2021.
