Have your say on changes to domestic food legislation

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) in Northern Ireland is consulting on proposed technical amendments to domestic legislation relating to:

  • food and feed safety and hygiene
  • food compositional standards and labelling
  • nutrition labelling

These proposed amendments are required to ensure that a range of provisions in Northern Ireland domestic legislation reflects the application of the Withdrawal Agreement and the Northern Ireland Protocol to ensure NI food and feed law remains effective at the end of the transition period.

Who is the consultation for?
This consultation will be of most interest to food and animal feed businesses including manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers and enforcement authorities.

The consultation may also be of interest to health professionals, consumer groups and others with an interest in food and feed legislation.
