If you cannot maintain your current workforce because your operations have been severely affected by coronavirus (COVID-19), the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme allows you to furlough employees and apply for a grant that covers 80 per cent of their usual monthly wage costs, up to £2,500 a month.

From 1 July 2020, the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is changing - see Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme - what is changing and key dates. In response to these changes HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) have a series of webinars to help employers.
