Coronavirus: Culture and heritage destinations venues guidance for a phased return
Guidance to ensure safety during the phased reopening of cultural and heritage sites
Department for Communities has issued guidance to designed to support organisations in the culture and heritage sector take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of everyone during the phased reopening.
The guidance is aimed at culture and heritage venues which are open to the public. These include:
- art galleries
- historic buildings
- historic gardens
- historic monuments
- concert halls
- art centres
The guidance covers issues such as employee safety, managing visitors, hygiene, toilet facilities and effective communication. It contains specific guidance for different types of culture and heritage destinations venues.
This guidance should be considered alongside other relevant public health and safety requirements, including those on workplace safety and social distancing.
