Support and guidance from the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland for employers, service providers and public authorities on how to respond to COVID-19

The Equality Commission has published a section on their website that pulls together a number of useful resources to help guide and support Northern Ireland businesses, service providers and public authorities as they respond to the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Equality guidance during COVID-19
The guidance provides practical advice for employers and service providers on how they can manage their equality obligations under equality and discrimination law during the COVID-19 pandemic and focuses on areas including:

  • post-lockdown return to work and employees with caring responsibilities
  • face masks and overcoming communication barriers
  • protecting pregnant employees during COVID-19
  • furlough leave advice for employers
