The scheme has been extended - find out if you're eligible and how much you can get

The Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) has been extended to provide critical support to self-employed individuals and members of a partnership in the form of:

  • third grant - covering November 2020 to January 2021
  • fourth grant - covering February 2021 to April 2021

Who can claim for the third SEISS grant
If you were not eligible for the first and second grant based on the information in your Self Assessment tax returns, you will not be eligible for the third SEISS grant.

To make a claim for the third grant your business must have had a new or continuing impact from coronavirus between 1 November 2020 and 29 January 2021

The third taxable grant is worth 80 per cent of your average monthly trading profits, paid out in a single instalment covering three months' worth of profits, and capped at £7,500 in total.

How to claim
The online service to claim the third grant is open. If you're eligible, you must make your claim for the third grant on or before 29 January 2021.

Claim a grant through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.

There will be a fourth grant covering February 2021 to April 2021. HMRC will set out further details, including the level of the fourth grant in due course.
