Coronavirus: Services and advice for members of the Federation of Small Businesses

Advice on the services and help available for FSB members affected by COVID-19 

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has highlighted the services available to FSB members to help minimise disruption due to COVID-19.

FSB Legal Protection Scheme
All FSB members have access to the FSB Legal Hub through their online account, providing a reliable source of over 430 factsheets and in excess of 750 legal documents including employment law, health and safety and business law. 

FSB members can also access to the 24/7 legal advice helpline, staffed by a team of qualified UK-based solicitors. They can be contacted on Tel 03450 727 727.

FSB Insurance Service
If FSB members have registered with FSB Insurance Service, they have immediate access to a business continuity planning toolkit which will provide help and guidance.

FSB also recommends that members check the business interruption section of their Commercial Business Insurance policy to establish whether it includes a notifiable disease extension. If this is in place there could be some limited cover available, subject to specific terms and conditions. FSB recommends that you speak to your insurer or insurance broker as soon as possible to establish your personal level of cover.

FSB Care
The FSB Care service, which is provided free of charge to members, offers access to a personal nurse adviser, an experienced Registered Mental Nurse or to a General Nurse who can provide practical advice and emotional support. 

The same nurse will keep in touch with you regularly and when appropriate will provide support navigating the NHS or other health services, signposting to charity and support groups, carry out research on your behalf, suggest a course of appropriate therapy or counselling or simply just provide a listening ear.
