Business support programmes for Derry City and Strabane businesses

The following programmes will be delivered remotely and online ensuring businesses can access and complete programmes safely. In order to apply for the programmes, businesses must:

  • be based in Derry City & Strabane Council area
  • have less than 50 employees

Financial Management for Non-Accountants Programme
Support for owner-managers to navigate the financial performance of their business.

The programme will include three workshops:

  • understanding your business costs and how to manage these
  • managing cash in a turbulent world
  • accessing finance from external sources

Participants will also receive bespoke one-to-one mentoring from an experienced consultant.

Deadline: Friday 22 May, 13:00.

Business Reboot Programme
Support to help owner-managers to embrace innovative ideas and to adapt their business model to reflect the new realities of life.

This programme will involve:

  • preparing to embrace change in your business - workshop
  • driving change to achieve the best results for your business - workshop
  • bespoke one-to-one mentoring from an experienced consultant

Deadline: Friday 29 May, 13:00.

Tourism, Hospitality and Retail Programme
Support for owner-managers of tourism-focused SMEs and micro enterprises who are seeking ways of consolidating and rebuilding their business in the coming months.

This programme will include:

  • assessing the current position of your business - workshop
  • enhancing your profile in the eyes of the prospective customers - workshop
  • planning for the future - what now for your business? - workshop
  • bespoke one-to-one mentoring from an experienced consultant

Deadline: Friday 5 June 2020, 13:00.

Get your Business Online Programme
Workshop and mentoring support to help entrepreneurs get their business online. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing is a key factor for everyone – your staff, your customers and your suppliers, it is more important than ever that businesses establish an effective online presence.
