Explore the potential for collaborating on Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund bids
Gearing up for the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) event will take place on Tuesday 25 February 2020 at the W5 Science & Discovery Centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The event is co-organised by the Innovation Caucus, Ulster University and Queen's University Belfast, and delivered in partnership with the Knowledge Transfer Network, the Economic and Social Research Council and Innovate UK.
Aimed principally at social scientists, the event will also involve technologists, knowledge exchange professionals and business partners, to explore the potential for collaborating on ISCF bids.
The ISCF was established to address business-led challenges and is one of several new funding opportunities as part of the Industrial Strategy. Many of the ISCF calls have a sector focus, under the Grand Challenges of the Industrial Strategy, ranging from Healthy Ageing to Manufacturing Made Smarter and Quantum Technologies to the Future of Flight.
However, the emphasis on multidisciplinary business engagement offers significant opportunities for social science research, working in a variety of areas from business models to regulation, and from supply chains to societal acceptance. This event will be of particular value to social science academics looking to find out more about ISCF challenges, or interested in exploring the potential to contribute to bids and build new partnerships.
