FSB masterclass to focus on data protection

19 September 2019

Find out how to keep you, your customers and your business safe

Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is teaming up with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and Worldpay to help small businesses develop the skills and confidence they need to protect their business.

For many small businesses, the security of payment information and any personal data they hold on their clients and customers can seem a complex landscape to navigate, but it’s more important than ever that they get it right.

In their latest series of business masterclasses, FSB and ICO will focus on the lessons learned for small businesses since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You will be able to learn how to:

  • enhance your reputation
  • increase customer confidence
  • save both time and money by making sure the personal data you’re responsible for is accurate, relevant and safe

At the event, payments provider Worldpay will share their experience and help you understand the current mindset of the UK consumer, what they expect from their customer experience and how that might impact taking payments in your business safely and securely.

A Senior PSNI Officer will provide an introductory presentation to the delegates to set the scene around the context of business crime. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions, meet and network with other small business owners in your local area.

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance as numbers are strictly limited.
