Business views sought on the EU's future research and innovation investment
The European Commission has launched an online consultation inviting businesses to help shape the European research and innovation investment in the coming years.
The consultation will help inform the Commission's work to prepare a strategic plan for Horizon Europe, the EU's next research and innovation programme.
Due to launch in 2021 and supersede the current Horizon 2020 programme, Horizon Europe has a proposed budget of €100 billion. The Commission is seeking input from businesses to help direct these investments where it matters the most.
The Commission has set out its own thoughts in an orientation document, but would like companies, research organisations and other interested parties to help co-design the programme.
Northern Ireland businesses can help shape the priorities of the Horizon Europe programme by completing the Horizon Europe co-design consultation.
The consultation closes on 8 September 2019.
