Global Business Innovation Programme to Australia

1 November 2019

Focus on agri-tech, including satellite applications

Innovate UK's Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP), delivered by Enterprise Europe Network, is looking for innovative UK SMEs in the agricultural technology sector.

The programme includes a visit to Australia in February 2020 for agri-tech and satellite application companies involved in yield forecasting, crop production and harvesting, livestock management, analytics, climate monitoring, imagery and mapping.

There will be particular interest in technology associated with:

  • precision agriculture
  • resource efficiency
  • data management and integration
  • net carbon reduction
  • hardware
  • artificial intelligence and robotics

The programme aims to take 15 ambitious UK SMEs to Australia, to meet with potential investors, partners and customers in the agricultural technology sector.

During the visit, your business will get a chance to explore all things agri-tech and attend evokeAG. conference, Asia-Pacific’s largest agri-food tech event focusing on food, farm, and future.

You'll also receive bespoke one-to-one support from Enterprise Europe Network advisers before, during and after the visit to help you take advantage of new opportunities as part of the programme.

Innovate UK will fund flights, ten nights' accommodation, in-market travel, conference fees, and meals for successful applicants. Only one representative from each company will be permitted.

To participate in this programme, your business must be an SME and established in the UK. You must be available to attend activities on all key programme dates, and work with an assigned Enterprise Europe Network adviser for the full duration of the programme.
