Global Project Licence (GPL)

If your business exports military goods or technology, you may be able to use a Global Project Licence (GPL) to simplify your export licensing arrangements, that fall under the category of collaborative defence projects.

This guide will explain the benefits of using a GPL, when one can be used and how GPLs differ from similar export licences. It also has details of the Framework Agreement (FA) partner states which GPLs can be used to export to, as well as the consensus agreement needed to export to a country that is not an FA partner state.

Finally, you will find information on how to apply for a GPL and how to contact the Export Control Organisation for further guidance.
