Breakfast lecture and innovation masterclass at Queen’s University Belfast
InterTradeIreland’s All-Island Innovation Programme will host an open innovation breakfast lecture followed by an interactive masterclass at Queen’s University Belfast. The keynote speaker will be Joe Haslam, Executive Director at Owners Scale-up Program at IR University.
Joe Haslam will examine indigenous entrepreneurship with a different perspective to the Silicon Valley Model. He will discuss:
- growth doesn’t make you a scale-up
- getting the basics right
- go in at the right time (it’s later than you think)
- embrace the era of ‘big’
- ignoring the start-up hype
- it’s not all about unicorns
- the advantages of scale
- culture at scale
The second part of the morning will feature an intense workshop with Joe where he will take individuals through their specific challenges and give advice, suggestions and an opinion on how best to scale your business. There are limited places for this session.
The event will take place as follows:
Date: 22 January 2019
