L4MS open call for manufacturing SMEs

22 October 2018

Up to €250,000 for manufacturing SMEs to digitalise factory floor logistics

L4MS (Logistics for Manufacturing SMEs) is a pan-European acceleration programme related to the robotics manufacturing industry.

It has launched its first open call with funding up to €250,000 for cross-border application experiments to validate the cost-effective and rapid deployment of mobile robots in manufacturing SMEs and mid-caps through virtualization.

The experiments will demonstrate the value of the solution to reduce the installation, deployment and configuration time and cost by a factor of 10. They will be carried out using OPIL integration platform and 3D simulator, for which L4MS will offer free licenses and complete guidance.

The proposals should address the implementation of small logistics automation solutions tackling the barriers faced by manufacturing SMEs such as (but not limited to):

  • end-to-end fully automated logistics solutions
  • hybrid (human-robot collaboration) automated logistics solutions
  • highly configurable automated logistics solutions
  • multi-vendor logistics solutions

In addition to technical support, eligible SMEs will also receive training, business mentoring and access to funding opportunities.

To learn more about this opportunity, join the L4MS open call webinar on 25 October 2018 at 12:00. Alternatively, you can read about the open call here.

The deadline for applications to the L4MS open call is 13:00 on 30 November 2018.
