The following leadership and management programmes are currently available in Northern Ireland:

Entry to Management Programme

The Entry to Management Programme is an initiative designed to speed the development of graduate managers, thus helping them become more productive within their organisations.

The programme, delivered over 24 weeks by South Eastern Regional College, aims to provide good well-qualified managers who can make a lasting contribution to the increased productivity of a business.

How the programme works
The programme lasts for 24 weeks and consists of:

  • off-the-job classroom training
  • on-the-job training, carrying out a business improvement project/personal development plan

The programme also provides participants with the opportunity to complete a professional management certificate.

Who can apply?
The Entry to Management Programme is offered to graduates seeking employment, and those who may currently be working in a Northern Ireland company but who could benefit from the skills development that the Entry to Management Programme has to offer.

The Entry to Management Programme provides benefits to both businesses and graduates:

Businesses - you will have the opportunity to bring on board ambitious and talented graduates who will work on specific projects.

Graduates - will be employed by the company for the duration of the programme, get fully involved in the world of management and business, and receive the skills to obtain a valuable management qualification.

Available funding
There is no charge to the participant. The Department for the Economy (DfE) will meet the full costs for eligible participants. Other costs and salary are met by the employer.
