Make It Local Christmas Campaign for Newry, Mourne and Down
Businesses are urged to sign up to this campaign, which is designed to boost visibility, drive footfall, and encourage people to spend locally
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is inviting local businesses to register their interest in taking part in its Make it Local Christmas marketing campaign, designed to showcase local enterprise, boost trade and encourage residents and visitors to shop, dine and spend within the district.
This campaign aims to give businesses a timely boost during one of the busiest times of the year, and the Council is encouraging businesses from all sectors to submit an Expression of Interest to take part.
By participating, businesses will gain:
- increased visibility, with opportunities to reach new audiences through social media promotion
- targeted advertising, print and outdoor campaigns
- access to the thematic photography and video features
While this campaign will focus on Christmas, those who express their interest may also be considered for inclusion in future Make it Local campaigns.
This approach allows a broad range of enterprises, ranging from high street retailers, cafes and restaurants, to artisans, service providers and start-ups, to benefit from free promotion and support.
Expressions of Interest close at 5pm on Friday 9 October 2026.
