Opportunity for individuals working in accountancy, insurance and legal sectors to join a 3-day residential Innovation Lab
Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will invest up to £3.5 million to develop responsible data access or sharing methods in the accountancy, insurance and legal services sectors.
As part of this investment, Innovate UK will run a 3-day residential Innovation Lab that will explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to strengthen the UK services sector.
Individuals can now apply to take part in the Innovation Lab on behalf of their organisation.
What happens at the Innovation Lab?
The residential part of the programme will run from 14 to 16 October 2019. The participants will work together to develop collaborative proposals for research and innovation projects.
After the Innovation Lab, the project consortia will have four weeks to refine and finalise their proposals before applying to the £3.5 million funding.
Who can apply?
Representatives of UK-based businesses, regulatory bodies, academic organisations, charities, public sector organisations or research and technology organisations can apply.
To be eligible, you must:
- attend and stay overnight for all three days of the residential
- be able to work collaboratively
- have the relevant skills, expertise and experience to represent your organisation
- describe the data, finances and other resources your organisation can commit
- have the technical or sector expertise necessary to collaborate with other participants on developing solutions to the challenge
You also must intend to carry out project work and exploit the results from the UK.
Not participating in the workshop does not exclude organisations or individuals from joining collaborations formed during the workshop as partners.
The competition closes at midday on 4 September 2019. Applicants will be notified by 4 October 2019. Up to £1.5 million is available per project.
