NI Chamber Incoterms 2020 training

5 November 2019

Find out what Incoterms are and how they are used

NI Chamber is inviting businesses to a series of half day Incoterms 2020 training courses.

What are Incoterms?

Incoterms are a set of rules which define the responsibilities of sellers and buyers for the delivery of goods under sales contracts. Shippers worldwide use standard trade definitions (Incoterms) to spell out who’s responsible for the shipping, insurance, and tariffs on an item; they are commonly used in international contracts.

Incoterms comprise some of the most widely used, but most misunderstood aspects within international trade; they can impact on a number of areas of a company’s operations, including sales, accounts, shipping, operations, compliance and customer service.

At the beginning of 2020 the latest version of Incoterms known as ICC Incoterms 2020 will be introduced.

The NI Chamber Incoterms 2020 Course

The Incoterms 2020 course will focus on the history and background of Incoterms, while establishing how the new terms match against the old terms.

The course will also review the key definitions, while providing an overview of what they do and do not cover.
