The Open: Hiring seasonal staff

Event offers legal and best practice advice to businesses planning to hire additional staff during the Open Championship golf tournament in Portrush in July

As visitor numbers to the Causeway Coast and Glens continue to rise each year, local businesses employ large numbers of seasonal staff and, with The 148th Open Championship taking place in from 14-21 July, more staff than ever will be required to service the needs of the increased number of visitors.

With this in mind, the Labour Relations Agency (LRA) along with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council are hosting an informal information event.

This session will provide free information and guidance from the LRA to those considering or concerned about seasonal recruitment, covering the types of contract and key issues for employers, including holidays. It will also allow you to meet members from the regional LRA team and give you the opportunity for one-to-one discussion to deal with queries and establish ongoing support. Representatives from the Jobs and Benefits Office and Alchemy will also be in attendance.
