Information event for local businesses interested in working with Forensic Science Northern Ireland (FSNI)
FSNI provides scientific services and expertise to assist in the investigation of crime and the presentation of scientific evidence in court. Primary evidence recovery from an item such as body fluids, DNA, fingerprints, hairs, fibres, gunshot and explosive residue is one of the most important steps in the forensic process.
FSNI has been awarded £155,000 of Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) funding to work with up to four suppliers to develop innovative techniques/solutions to improve the time taken to visualise and identify body fluids on a range of substrates within a forensic science environment.
Local innovative businesses are invited to tender for this opportunity. The closing date for applications is Friday 16 August at 15:00.
Find more information, including application form, guidance and competition brief.
An information session has been arranged for local businesses to hear from FSNI staff and to learn more about this opportunity.
