Recovery Revitalisation Fund for Causeway businesses

This funding aims to support public health and safety measures which are required for businesses to operate safely

Businesses in the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area can now apply for the COVID-19 Recovery Revitalisation Fund.

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has been allocated £449,000 for this programme which includes £340,000 from the Department for Communities for investment in urban settlements with a population of 5000 or more, and £109,000 from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs aimed at smaller settlements.

Eligible Capital Items
The funding will be distributed via a Small Grant Scheme, covering two levels of capital investment:

  • Business owners can apply for up to £500 for PPE equipment, hand sanitisers, internal social distancing measures, perspex screening, signage, and contactless payment or app development for booking systems.
  • Alongside this, grants of up to £1000 will be available for outdoor seating, heaters, front-of-house barriers, awnings or canopies where this would be appropriate (additional permissions may be needed for any structural work to premises).

Who can apply?
The initial criteria for application are:

  • Applicant businesses must be from within Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
  • All applicants must have a bank (or other financial institution) account for the sole purpose of their business ie separate from personal finances.

Funding is very limited, and will be assessed on a first-come-first-served basis.
