Search is on for innovations in the pre-hospital diagnosis and rehabilitation of stroke

A new Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) competition has opened to support the development of innovations in the pre-hospital diagnosis and rehabilitation of stroke.

The competition opened on 13 July 2021 to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and organisations from the private, public and third sectors, including charities.

Applicants are able to submit innovative solutions to tackle three specific challenges:

  • pre-hospital diagnosis
  • rehabilitation
  • life after stroke

Full challenge brief, applicant guidance, FAQs and template application form, alongside other supporting documents, are available from the SBRI Healthcare website.

The deadline for applications is 13:00 on Tuesday 24 August 2021.

This competition is run by SBRI Healthcare, funded by NHS England and NHS Improvement, in collaboration with the Oxford Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) and the Stroke Association.
