Supplementary Declarations for export

Supplementary Declarations and exports - Common Agricultural Policy

For goods covered by the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) - food, agriculture and horticulture products - you cannot use the Simplified Declaration Procedure (SDP) to provide an abbreviated Pre-Shipment Advice followed by detailed Supplementary Declarations (SDs). Instead, you must make a full declaration prior to export.

SDs required for CAP products

Although you cannot use the SDP for any CAP goods, for some CAP goods you must still make an SD following the export. The SD serves a different purpose, for example to declare that the goods conform to particular quality standards or contain particular products.
