Video conferencing services: security guidance for organisations
New guidance to help you to choose, configure and deploy video conferencing services
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has published new guidance to help organisations select and use video conferencing services safely.
Because of the COVID-19 lockdown, many organisations have implemented home working, giving video conferencing a greater role in maintaining their operations.
The NCSC's guidance offers information and practical advice to help organisations and businesses to:
- choose a video conferencing service
- deploy and configure the service
- support their staff to use services securely
If you need video conferencing for more sensitive meetings (such as government use or handling official data, you should follow the NCSC's cloud security principles.
For advice on video conferencing services for personal use at home, the NCSC has issued separate guidance for individuals and families.
