Supplementary Declarations for import

Where to get help and advice on Supplementary Declarations

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) is responsible for controlling Customs Freight Simplified Procedures (CFSP) and trader submission of Supplementary Declarations (SDs).

If you have any general queries, you should contact the HMRC VAT Helpline on Tel 0300 200 3700.

You can read Notice 760 on CFSP.

If you encounter problems with the Customs Handling for Import and Export Freight system (CHIEF), particularly UKCTRL error messages starting with an 'e', contact the CHIEF operations team via email at Chief.Operations@hmrc.gov.uk. Alternatively you can contact them on Tel 08457 585831.

If you have problems with SDs, particularly errors or problems meeting the deadline, you must contact the HMRC CFSP National Assurance Team (CNAT) via email at CFSP_cope@hmrc.gov.uk.

For queries on SDs not submitted on time or SDs or Simplified Frontier Declarations that require cancellation or amendment, you should also contact CNAT via email at CFSP_cope@hmrc.gov.uk.
