Training programme for front-of-house staff in food businesses to take place in Derry~Londonderry
This training programme presents an opportunity for front-line staff to develop the skills and knowledge to increase sales in your business.
WorldHost Food Ambassador is a recognised and accredited training programme tailored specifically for Northern Ireland’s acclaimed food and drink industry. It aims to deliver sales-based customer service skills.
The workshop has been developed by Tourism NI, People 1st and Food NI/Taste of Ulster. Once 50 per cent of your frontline staff have completed any WorldHost programme you can apply for your WorldHost Recognised Business Award.
This half-day session will:
- use experiential learning and include a wide range of local food and drink tasting
- bring you up to speed on all that is happening in our growing food and drink industry
- equip you with the confidence and knowledge you need to tell the stories of our local produce
All food tasting and WorldHost training materials and certificate will be included.

Derry City and Strabane Council are funding this programme, reducing the cost to only £20 per person. Funded places will be offered on a first come first served basis.
