Seed Fund Programme

Summary:

Entrepreneurs can apply for a business start-up seed fund bursary of up to £1,000, business advice, training and mentoring.

Eligibility criteria:

Entrepreneurs must be based in Causeway Coast and Glens Borough and be unemployed or economically inactive.

Additional information:

The Seed Fund Programme supports people who are unemployed or economically inactive to start a new business.

Causeway Coast and Glens Labour Market Partnership is running the programme, and it is funded by the Department for Communities.

The new business can be full-time or part-time, and this includes all sectors and ideas including crafts, childminding from home, self-employed construction contracting, personal trainers, retail shops, cafés and delivery drivers. Businesses can be based at home or in dedicated premises.

The bursary of up to £1,000 can go towards a wide range of start-up costs including capital equipment, computer software and hardware, marketing materials, and other operational costs.

In addition to the bursary, applicants can access advice, training and mentoring.
