Catalyst is running two events to support NI businesses with starting-up, scaling a business and protecting intellectual property. Upcoming events include:
Intellectual Property 360 with Lewis Silkin
Information session focusing on protecting your intellectual property.
From the moment it’s created, IP protection is a lifetime challenge for your business. You need to know how and whether to register it. You need to know how to look after it, within your organisation, and how to stop people leaving with it.
This event will provide practical, immediately usable techniques to identify IP, to create an appropriate internal IP protection culture and to establish an IP licensing strategy combining protection of a key business asset with maximum transactional flexibility.
After the session, there will be a chance to ask any specific questions you may have.

Start-ups Ignite with Dassault Systèmes & Solid Solutions
Information event on the free tools and support available to start-ups and scale-ups in Belfast and Northern Ireland.
Find out what the 3D Experience Works for start-ups is all about. Participants will see a live demonstration of how Solidworks can bring your ideas to life, from a simple sketch to a physical product, and see what tools and support are available to you.
You will also hear from existing and alumni members about their experiences as start-ups and scale-ups. Find out what challenges they faced and how they were able to navigate them, what support they had and any advice they would give to companies now.
There will also be an opportunity to network with other start-ups in the Catalyst community.
Who should attend?
This event is open to anyone who works for a start-up or scaleup organisation and has an interest in finding out more about the Solidworks and the entrepreneur programme.
