GBIP in Germany: Hydrogen

News article

Innovate UK is calling for innovative UK businesses to apply to its latest Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) in Germany

The programme is aimed at businesses developing solutions for hydrogen use, production, storage and distribution, as well as hydrogen enablers.

Why Germany?

Germany has taken the lead in exploring hydrogen's potential to reduce carbon emissions in challenging industries. They've backed this up with substantial public investment.

This GBIP will aid in advancing hydrogen initiatives, building on a recent agreement between the UK and Germany.

In addition, the programme will include access to The Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe in Hamburg and facilitate meetings with key hydrogen technology players.

Why should you apply?

By taking part, you will get a chance to find potential innovation partners, improve your company value proposition, and explore opportunities for doing business in Germany.

You will also get an opportunity to join:

  • a preparatory workshop in the UK
  • a five-day tailored innovation visit to Germany in October 2024
  • follow-up workshop and support from an Innovate UK Innovation and Growth specialist

Potential applicants can watch the recording of the applicant briefing to learn more about the programme.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 1 May 2024.
