Explore urban systems opportunities in India

Innovate UK is inviting innovative UK businesses to apply for a chance to take part in their Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) in India. The programme consists of:

  • a preparation phase in the UK
  • a one-week innovation visit to India
  • post-visit workshop and follow-up support from Innovate UK Business Growth

This GBIP programme is seeking innovative businesses that focus on delivering Net Zero, including (but not limited to) solutions that address the following types of challenges:

  • heating and cooling
  • mobility
  • energy
  • the circular economy
  • resource measurement and management (eg water, waste, air)
  • citizen engagement and sustainable behaviour change
  • resilience to natural shocks

Successful participants will get a chance to explore India's vibrant innovation ecosystem, visiting metropolitan cities of Kolkata and Chennai - both part of India's "100 Smart Cities" mission which was set up to tackle the challenges and opportunities of moving people into urban environments.

As part of this programme, you will also gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of doing business in India, a chance to find potential innovation collaborators and improve your company value proposition to international partners and investors.

The deadline for applications is Friday 17 May 2024.
