This programme supports under-represented individuals who would like to learn more about self-employment and starting a business

Belfast City Council and The Mind Tribe UK have launched the newly developed Inclusive Enterprise Pathway, a programme supporting individuals who would like to learn more about self-employment or are considering starting their own business.

As part of the programme, there are fully-funded virtual workshops, drop-in clinics at 2 Royal Avenue, and free in-house workshops that can be delivered in collaboration with your organisation.

There is also a fully-funded Enhanced Mentoring Programme for groups that have been historically under-represented, under-supported and under-funded in Entrepreneurship.

Programme eligibility

The four target groups for this programme must live in the Belfast City Council area and meet at least one of the following criteria as individuals who:

  • identify as Women or Non-Binary
  • experience Disability
  • are from Ethnic Minority/Global Majority Communities/Backgrounds
  • are Neurodivergent (eg Autistic, ADHD, Dyslexic, Tourettes)

Briefing and networking event

An Inclusive Enterprise Briefing and Networking Event is taking place on Wednesday 8 November 2023, from 12:30pm to 2pm, at Innovation Factory, Belfast.

This event is for stakeholders and organisations to learn more about the programme, the in-house workshops, the mentoring programme and current and emerging enterprise trends.

There will be a presentation followed by a short Q&A, and a brief informal networking session at the end.
