Launch event for second Researchers in Residence programme

After the successful first tranche of the Researchers in Residence scheme, the Innovation Launchpad Network+ is set to launch a second call for proposals

The launch event will take place on Thursday 20 April 2023 at Belfast's Ormeau Baths, with an online option open to participants who wish to join remotely.

At the event, delegates will hear from the network’s director Pete Osborne about the upcoming opportunities for researchers to join their Researchers in Residence scheme. The programme will also introduce each of the nine Catapults, world-leading technology and innovation centres established and working in partnership with Innovate UK.

A variety of other speakers will be announced in the run-up to the event. Following the event, those who attend in person will be able to discuss future collaboration with Catapult colleagues.

About the Innovation Launchpad Network+

Funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the network has been set up to help refresh the pipeline of new ideas and knowledge coming into the Catapult centres by tapping into emerging research coming from academia.

The initiative is on track to deliver 100 world-class Researchers in Residence projects, promoting academic engagement, increasing knowledge exchange and co-creation between academia and the Catapults, in areas of strategic importance such as NetZero, healthcare and wellbeing, and resilience.
