This online seminar aims to identify how menopause impacts both the employee and the employer

Mid Ulster Labour Market Partnership is hosting an information seminar which aims to identify how the menopause impacts both the employee and the employer and what employers can do to support staff through symptoms and generate awareness in the workplace.

Hosted by Pamela Ballantine, the webinar begins with a local menopause expert speaking about the common symptoms women are likely to encounter and how they can impact on a day-to-day basis within the workplace. You will also hear hints and tips on how to manage these symptoms.

This will be followed by local construction company Henry Brothers, where female workers are operating within a male dominated industry. You will hear how they have implemented training and support, for both male and female employees, and learn best practice that you could take forward to your own organisation.

Finally, Mid Ulster District Council details the steps needed to create a Menopause Policy. They will speak about the groups you should consult with to assist in creating a robust but appropriate policy, the obstacles encountered, the benefits of the policy and what else needs to be considered.

The webinar will end with a Q&A session where you will have the opportunity to ask any of the panel questions.
