Mentor Support Programme for Newry, Mourne and Down businesses
This free programme features one-to-one support and skills development workshops.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council has launched a new programme that will support local small to medium-sized businesses, encouraging them to grow.
The Mentor Support Programme is fully funded and is aimed at businesses across the Council area that employ fewer than 50 full-time equivalent staff, have been trading for more than six months and have job creation potential.
Programme details
The programme will include the delivery of a total of 80 mentoring days supporting 40 businesses to enhance their skills, confidence, and abilities with the overall aim of enabling business growth.
As well as bespoke one-to-one mentoring support with an experienced business advisor, the programme will also feature four skills development workshops.

All of the workshops are online and run from 10am to 12:30pm each day:
- Marketing and Digital Marketing on a Shoestring - Thursday 17 August 2023
- Selling with Confidence - Tuesday 29 August 2023
- Identifying and Accessing External Finance to Fund Business Growth - Wednesday 13 September 2023
- Finding and Retaining High Calibre People - Tuesday 26 September 2023
The Mentor Support Programme will run until the end of September 2023.
