Search for digital solutions to solve industry challenges

In partnership with Digital Catapult Northern Ireland, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is starting a new phase of their Tenfold NetZero Accelerator programme.

The programme aims to help businesses in their drive towards net zero.

Three leading local companies - AgriSearch, Dale Farm, and Encirc - have been selected as industry challenge owners to take part in the accelerator, with the view to develop solutions that would:

  • make farming more efficient
  • enable easy access to nutrient data
  • reduce waste in dark glass bottle production

The programme will pair industry partners with innovative technical solution providers to craft proof of concepts.

The aim is to use advanced technology like 5G, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and virtual and augmented reality, to solve industry challenges while promoting economic growth and sustainability.

Who should apply?

The programme is taking applications from technology startups and small businesses wishing to work alongside AgriSearch, Dale Farm, and Encirc on developing new solutions.

Participants will need to develop a proof of concept against a particular challenge, leveraging the appropriate advanced digital technologies.

Each successful technology provider will receive £20,000 in funding from the industry partners, as well as support from Digital Catapult experts during the development phase of their project.

The final presentations of proof of concepts will be made at the accelerator showcase event scheduled for Autumn 2024.
