Eureka GlobalStars Japan 2026
Funding of up to £600,000 for UK organisations to collaborate on industrial research projects with partners in Eureka member countries and Japan.
The competition opens on Monday 13 October 2025 and closes at 11am on Monday 21 January 2026.
Who it is for
This competition is open to collaborations only.
To be eligible, your partnership must:
- include at least one UK-registered business of any size
- include at least one eligible small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) from Japan
- you may also collaborate with organisations from other participating Eureka member countries
- other UK-registered organisations may also be included as part of your consortium
Your project can run for up to three years and should commence by 1 July 2026, subject to the national funding procedures of the Eureka members participating in the selected projects.
Support you can get
This competition is open to UK businesses that want to apply to the Eureka Globalstars Japan 2026 call. This competition aims to fund business led, collaborative research and development (CR&D) projects focused on industrial research.
Innovate UK will support eligible project costs for UK-based partners as follows:
- up to 70% for micro or small businesses
- up to 60% for medium-sized businesses
- up to 50% for large businesses
