Financial assistance of between £500 and £3,000 for Irish Language projects.

Applications close at midday on Monday 12 January 2026.

Who it is for

Applications are welcomed from the community and voluntary sector.

Applications must meet one of the two aims of this scheme:

Irish Language community renewal and development
Positively engaging the Irish Language

Support you can get

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is inviting applications for financial assistance from the community and voluntary sector for Irish Language projects.

Grants are between £500 minimum and £3,000 maximum

Indicative budget for the theme is £50,000. Please note this is subject to change and approval.
