Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP)
Support for innovative SMEs to explore global markets, build partnerships, and grow internationally.
Who it is for
To be eligible, you must be a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) based in the UK, with the ambition and commitment to scale internationally. A senior representative must take part in all stages and complete all activities of the programme.
Support you can get
Each GBIP focuses on a specific market and sector, bringing together a cohort of up to 15 SMEs. The programme combines UK-based workshops, an international market visit, and tailored follow-up support from Innovate UK Business Growth specialists. Participants gain market knowledge, cultural insight and partner introductions to help them succeed on the global stage.
Innovate UK funds flights, accommodation, and in-market travel. A £1,000 refundable commitment fee is required, returned on full completion of the programme.
