Skills for Growth programme

Who it is for

This support is available to Invest Northern Ireland clients, who are manufacturing and/or tradeable services businesses with the potential to both:

• achieve at least 25% of sales external to Northern Ireland (or at least £250,000 external sales, whichever is lower)
• employ at least ten staff, within five years

If you can demonstrate that your business meets these criteria, you may be eligible to apply to become an Invest NI client.

Support you can get

Funding is provided for training costs (up to a maximum of 50% of eligible costs), which are not mandatory, and which are aimed at increasing productivity and improving international competitiveness. Repeat training and routine training are also excluded as additionality cannot be determined.

Eligible costs for Skills for Growth are:

• worker wages (for time spent on eligible training activities)
• internal trainer costs
• external trainer costs
• travel and accommodation costs linked directly to training activities
• material costs linked specifically to training activities
