Tyrone Guthrie Centre 2026/27

This bursary award is for a one-week studio residency at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Annaghmakerrig.

The application deadline is 11:59pm on Monday 8 December 2025.

Who it is for

To be eligible for this bursary, applicants must meet all of the following criteria: 

  • be resident within the Ards and North Down Borough Council Area
  • be a practicing professional artist in a recognised visual arts form
  • aged 21 years+

Support you can get

This bursary award is for a one-week studio residency at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Annaghmakerrig. A maximum of 4 professional artists will be awarded for the 2026/27 financial year. Applicants may only submit one application form.

One of the available bursaries will be prioritised for an artist with a disability. Ards and North Down Borough Council is committed to supporting artists with disabilities across all art genres. This bursary is awarded in memory of Chris Ledger, late CEO of the University of Atypical.  

Applicants should ensure that they leave sufficient time before the deadline to complete all questions, and upload all supporting documents to the application form.
