Call for NI business voices on the Windsor Framework
Expressions of interest for Northern Ireland Business Stakeholders Group
The UK government is inviting Northern Ireland business organisations to join a new Northern Ireland Business Stakeholders Group (NIBSG) to advise on the Windsor Framework.
The new group will build on the work of the Northern Ireland Business Brexit Working Group (NIBBWG), which has been engaging with the government and the European Union since before the Windsor Framework was agreed.
The new NIBSG will broaden that engagement and bring together a wider range of business voices from across Northern Ireland.
The group is expected to provide feedback on how the Framework is working in practice and help ensure the benefits of the new sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) agreement with the European Union reach Northern Ireland. Selected members may also be invited to attend joint UK-EU meetings, including potential visits to Brussels.
Who can apply
Applications are sought from organisations (not individuals) that:
- represent NI businesses affected by the Windsor Framework
- have professional involvement or expertise related to the Windsor Framework
The membership will be held by an organisation as a whole and different individuals can represent the organisation at different meetings. Membership of the group will be reviewed every two years.
Existing members of the NIBBWG are eligible but need to apply to join the NIBSG.
What's expected
Representatives are expected to attend engagements and share updates and insights from the NI businesses they represent.
How to apply
Organisations should send a cover letter (maximum 500 words) to nibsg@cabinetoffice.gov.uk outlining:
- why they are applying
- what area of business they represent
- the insight they will bring to Windsor Framework discussions
The deadline for expressions of interest is 12 November 2025.
