Charities invited to apply for the new cancer support funding
The Department of Health, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, has launched a £2 million Cancer Charities Grant Scheme for 2025/26.
Funding will be available in two tiers:
- Tier 1 - grants of up to £25,000 for smaller projects (approximately £500,000 allocated).
- Tier 2 - grants between £25,001 and £150,000 for larger programmes (approximately £1.5 million allocated).
Eligible applicants must be UK-registered charities or not-for-profit organisations operating in Northern Ireland with a clear cancer-related purpose.
The funding will support services such as mental health support, rehabilitation and prehabilitation, transport assistance, awareness and education initiatives, and programmes aimed at reducing health inequalities.
Applications will close on Friday 23 January 2026.
