A grant of up to £500 per employee is available for businesses interested in providing a workplace training initiative for their employees

The Ards and North Down Labour Market Partnership is offering the Employer Led Upskilling Programme (Small Grant Scheme) to local businesses in the Ards and North Down Borough Council area to support industry-related training.

The scheme is offering a small grant of up to a maximum of £500 per employee for a maximum of four employees per business, to employers interested in providing a workplace training initiative for their employees.

Why take part?

  • Businesses can obtain training for staff/employees at no cost or lower cost*.
  • Training opportunities can be offered to staff and employees to upskill and enhance their employability.
  • Industry specific training at a time and date that suits each business.
  • Business growth supported by investing in staff.
  • Training provided for staff to progress in their career and therefore create entry level positions.

*Subject to the terms and conditions of this initiative ie £500 per employee for a maximum of four employees per business.

Important dates

Deadline for submission of applications is 4pm on Friday 5 January 2024. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

All training initiatives and grant claim forms must be completed by Friday 1 March 2024.
