Inclusive and accessible tourism toolkit

Toolkit to help businesses in the tourism industry support people with disabilities and improve accessibility.
Tourism Northern Ireland has launched a toolkit designed to help businesses get started or continue on their accessibility journey and to reach the valuable accessible tourism market. By aiming to improve accessibility in your business, you can enhance the quality of the customer service you offer for many existing customers, as well as help to attract new ones.
Learn from other local businesses
The toolkit includes real industry case studies, such as the Game of Thrones Studio Tour, Armagh Observatory & Planetarium, and the Ebrington Hotel, that demonstrate successful accessibility initiatives in action.
Hints and tips to improve accessibility in your business
The toolkit also offers hints and tips focusing on physical, digital, and operational measures you can take to support people with disabilities and those who have accessibility requirements.
Inclusive and accessible tourism e-learning course
To accompany the toolkit, Tourism NI has also developed an inclusive and accessible tourism e-learning course. The course is broken down into bite-sized modules to enable you to work through the toolkit at your own pace and at a time that suits you. The e-learning course will enhance your understanding of what accessible tourism is, help you identify the benefits of providing an inclusive experience, and how to market your accessibility.
Both the toolkit and e-learning course include tips, checklists, and questionnaires to support your learning and development of how best to implement measures to be more inclusive and accessible in your business.
